BENGHAZI COVER-UP UNCOVERED: Obama Administration Lied To The Nation
May 11, 2013 - On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in New York, a terrorist attack occurred at the United States consulate in Libya which left the American ambassador and three others dead and the consulate destroyed. Following the attacks the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. went on television giving explanation saying that the attacks were simply a protest that went awry. Ambassador Susan Rice told the world that the attack was simply a protest over a YouTube video.
Since the attacks, many in congress went forward with investigations in the matter when the unbelievable explanation by the State Department and the White House turned out to be a complete lie. This week “whistle blowers” came to testify before congress, telling the truth. It was found that that the CIA and State Department had ignored warnings beforehand, similar to the Bush Administration prior to the original 9/11 attacks. Also similar to warnings given two years ago to the FBI regarding the bombers that perpetrated the Boston Marathon bombings in April 2013. All this leads to concern of just what the U.S. Government chooses to ignore, leaving the nation susceptible to terrorism.
Following the attacks hundreds of emails circulated around within government agencies with concerns about the talking points following the Benghazi attack. Then-State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland worried that the talking points should not contain references to earlier warnings of islamic extremists in Benghazi. One of her emails said that members of congress could use those revelations “to beat up on the State Department for not paying attention to CIA warnings,” according to congressional officials who reviewed the 100 pages of emails.
Independent investigations have revealed incompetence at top levels in the State Department, then run by Hillary Clinton. Testimony before congress by those who were working in Benghazi near the time of the attack told how security had been relegated to Libyan police instead of the U.S. military. After word had come that an attack was probable on the anniversary of 9/11 the consulate was refused additional security.
Many have expressed concern of how easily the government has lied to the American people. Stories and excuses following the Benghazi attack have proven to be outright lies and Hillary Clinton’s “what does it matter” response to congress has left Americans very dissatisfied with the administrations abilities to lead the country. This along with information coming from the Boston Marathon bombings, along with the IRS scandal have damaged this administration's confindence with the American people.
