91 YEAR OLD NAZI CHARGED WITH WAR CRIMES
The Wheels Of Justice Turn Slowly But Do Turn !
November 26, 2012
Berlin – A 91 year old man has been charged with war crimes from
World War Two. The Associated Press reported that the charges stem from the murder of a Dutch resistance fighter in 1944.
The man,
Dutch-born Siert Bruins served time in prison in the 1980s for the wartime murder of two Dutch Jews. The resistance fighter in the
present case was Aldert Klaas Dijkema who was killed in September 1944 in the town of Appingedam which is near the German boarder
in the Netherlands.
Bruins accomplice in the matter was August Neuhaeuser who is now dead. The two are reported to have driven Dijkema
to an isolated area and then telling him to get out of the car to relieve himself. At that, as Dijkema walked away from the car, he
was shot in the back of the head twice and then two more times elsewhere for a total of four shots.
The two Nazis reported to their
superiors that he had tried to escape and was shot.
A court in Hagen now has the case and will make a determination if there is enough
evidence for a trial. Bruins is now in custody.
